We also offer these homes in the winter, spring, and fall with a 2 night minimum. During the winter months you can snowmobile, cross country ski, ice fish, and Durango Mountain Ski area is only an hour’s drive away. Or you can just cozy up with a good book and relax while enjoying the warmth of a fire.
The Trout House This homes offers both a lower and an upper deck both of which wrap ¾ around the home. These decks allow for spectacular views of the Vallecito River, the lake, and surrounding mountains. You could even fish right from your deck if you choose! The home has vaulted ceilings, 24 inch logs that show thru into the home, and one of a kind Aspen spiral staircase that travels from the 1 st to the 3 rd floor! This is a new 4,500 sq ft log home with an open floor plan. It has amazing 24 inch logs that run thru the home, 30 foot vaulted ceiling, and windows that run floor to ceiling in the living area. The living area also offers a massive stone fireplace. There are 2 master bedrooms each with king beds, their own fireplace, private full baths, and French doors that exit our to their own deck or balcony. There are 2 additional bedrooms each with 2 twin beds and their own full baths as well. The kitchen has granite countertops an island, stainless steel appliances, and copper fixtures sprinkled throughout! It has been tastefully decorated for anyone’s liking. The home has its own hot tub and built in grill on the deck along with a 2 car heated garage. It currently sits on 10 acres with mountain and meadow views and a small creek that runs beside it.
