Thank you for your interest in a position at the Wit's End Guest Ranch and Resort. Our ranch is committed to the highest level guest service available by anticipating our guest's needs in advance and then exceeding our guest's expectations upon delivery of service. Ranch work is extremely fun and challenging. We desire team members who have exceptional communication skills, a desire to help in any department at any time and a mature, proactive work ethic. Our ranch hands work 6 days a week and 9 hours a day while maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude. You must be 18 years old upon your first day of work at the ranch. American Citizens will have to produce a valid driver's license and an original social security card or a current passport.
International employees must present proof of immigration and work status in the United States. All employees will fill out W-4 and I-9 forms upon arrival to the ranch. The ranch promotes a drug and alcohol free environment. Use of illegal drugs will not be tolerated and will be cause for immediate dismissal. Drug test will taken upon arrival. Random drug tests will be conducted throughout the season as well. Employees are NOT allowed to drink alcohol on any ranch property. Smoking is not permitted on the ranch premises at any time. All staff members will be required to present a neat and clean appearance at all times.
You will be provided with a ranch nametag. You should bring jeans, black pants, khaki pants, cowboy hats and boots with you when you arrive to the ranch. Visible tattoos, body piercing, unkempt hair or facial hair will not be tolerated. You will be paid an hourly wage or monthly salary based upon your experience. Gratuities are not included in our guest package, but you will be allowed to accept tips from our guests based on the level of service you deliver to them. Gratuities are between you and the guests. Based on our ranch status, overtime will be paid only after working 54 hours in one week. Bunkhouse/ dorm style housing is offered but has very limited availability. The housing is gender specific, no exceptions! It is expected that all ranch property, including employee housing, will be kept clean and tidy. If we are told that housing is unkept then random housing inspections will be conducted.
An extreme lack of cleanliness may be cause for immediate removal from the housing. Pets are not allowed on the ranch or in housing, NO exceptions! Our rules may sound strict, but we believe the Wit's End Ranch to be a desirable place to live, work and have fun. We hire only the best people for our coveted positions.
