Most dining takes place in our elegant "Old Lodge at the Lake" loaded with ambiance and fine decor. Wit's End Guest Ranch, Resort & Spa goes to great lengths to provide an exquisitely detailed Dining experience for even the most discriminating guest, adults and children alike.
Every meal is prepared and served in or around the center piece of our ranch, "The Old Lodge at the Lake." This 133 year old renovated barn is constructed of rock and log, a genuine hand hewn building. It is three stories of old world charm and class.
Each morning our staff is ready to serve you a steaming cup of hot coffee starting at 6:30am. We have a beautiful continental breakfast that has a variety of pastries from homemade
muffins and scones to fresh bagels. We offer seasonal fresh fruit, yogurt, and cold cereals on the continental buffet as well. After you have started with the continental breakfast you can then choose your hot breakfast from the menu. We offer stuffed French toast, chocolate chip pancakes, eggs any style, omelets with many toppings to choose from, bacon, sausage, ham, and of course biscuits & homemade gravy each morning. The Chef also prepares daily breakfast specials.
If your not out on a horseback ride, fishing, hiking, or enjoying water sports on the lake, lunch then takes place at “The Old Lodge at the Lake.” You can choose to dine inside or outside on the deck which overlooks the ranch. The lunch menu varies from fresh salads and wraps to hot pastrami sandwiches and ½ lb burgers with an assortment of toppings to choose from. The younger ones in the family will love the menu as well, but just in case we always offer a basic “kids menu” with Kraft Mac & cheese, beef hot dogs, homemade chicken fingers, and grill cheese.
For you first evening on the ranch we offer a beautiful Prime Rib buffet with additional protein choices, homemade bread, fresh salad, fruit plates, vegetables, and a mouthwatering dessert.
Twice a week we offer a hayride that will drop you off for dinner at our “Chain O’ Lakes” and BBQ area. While the Chef’s finish preparing fresh steaks and grilled trout on our old chuck wagon style grill there are a variety of activities you can participate in while waiting. Feel free to play in the canoes or start a game of horseshoes or volleyball while others may choose to sit by the campfire and sip on a glass of wine while listening to one of our local entertainers. After dinner the kids make an old time favorite, smores. But, if smores aren’t your thing that’s okay as we always have fresh warm fruit cobblers and pies for dessert at the BBQ’s.
One evening our culinary team really shows off their talents and creativity with a 5 to 7 course fine dining meal. This evening the adults will to be able to enjoy and indulge in fabulous food and ambiance. The air is crisp, the fire is crackling and the music is soft and romantic. The tables are all set with candles and you can enjoy a romantic evening that you deserve. And don’t worry about the kids. Ours counselors have a cook out and sleepover prepared for them that starts at 5:30pm! They will be happy playing games and enjoying great food too!

Sundried Tomato Leek Soup
Caprese Salad made with layered Tomato, Fresh Milk Mozzarella, Basil and Pesto. Then topped with Olive Oil and Fresh Cracked Pepper and finished with a Balsamic Reduction
Entrée Choices:
Six ounce Filet Medallions with Shitake Mushroom Demi Glaze
Pan fried Chicken breast with Artichoke Hearts, Portobello Mushrooms, Green Onions & Garlic, Broccoli and topped with Proscuitto Confetti.
Pan Seared Orange Glazed Duck
Entrees are served with Truffled Fingerlings and Grilled Baby Boc-Choy
